Affirmations have a place in our hearts because they speak of a higher truth that we want to bring down into our human world. They work by overriding our current neural patterns, which we have created through our subconscious thoughts, and provide us with a new thought pattern that draws in what we want. They work best when repeated regularly and consistently, but any effort we put in will help!
We need to remember when using affirmations that we will not just be brought these things we are asking for - but we will be more empowered to take action on them. All healing comes to us through our own ability to accept the healing into our lives and to act upon it.
Affirmations work on the principle of Attraction - we get what we ask for - and when we are consciously asking for something good, we override the subconscious negativity that we might be carrying around and which is bringing us lack, grief, fear and all those things we really don't want! So affirmations help to open up a space for new action to be taken, based on what we are asking for.
When we begin to use affirmation we are effectively creating a new hole in our fear system through which Light can come in and empower us to create that we are asking for. Of course, we need to remember that our old fears might raise their ugly heads and try to stop us from progressing. So, at these times we need to take a moment to just sit and tune in to what our fear is saying - what are we missing, what do we still need to heal and how can we do that. Most fear comes from a space within us that is without love, and without love it is difficult to manifest what we believe we should have! Fear often tells us that we don't deserve what we want.
