Healing is an energetic and a spiritual process which involves you as the centre of the motion. It is about coming back into connectedness with our Soul energy, or that which guides us through life.
Healing is a self-centred process which we often and mistakenly give to others. The expectation that another will heal us is only partially true. Whilst sometimes we need the assistance of a healer, be it a doctor, kinesiologist, or psychic reader, we actually only heal when we place ourselves - physical, spiritual and emotional - at the very centre of that healing.
Our mental capacity to contemplate healing is also an important part of this. It is our mind that either denies or accepts our healing. Mostly our acceptance or refusal of healing into our system comes from a deep and subconscious part of ourselves. This part of ourselves will determine whether or not we are really ready for the healing that we say we want to receive on the surface of things. What is means is that we can literally deny ourselves the right to heal through past unresolved fears! Or, we can fully embrace healing on all levels because that doorway has opened.
A part of the reason that meditation or meditative practices is pushed at us these days is that it plays an important role in the calming of the conscious and subconscious mind and allows deep healing to take place. The ability to slow down the mind and enter a state of calmness is essential if we are to see our mind’s play clearly. Yet meditation is part of the healing process. In the early stages of any body trauma, emotional unravelling or psychic development, meditation is a way to place yourself into a grounded and clear space.
Often, when we are not getting to a place that we want to be – financial freedom, for example, or more clarity in terms of career – it’s because a part of us is scared or afraid of what that success may bring us. Usually this is letting go of something we are hanging onto - mostly subconsciously...
In order to heal this part of yourself you need to see first of all that there is something blocking you, and be willing to release it - give yourself permission to realise your full potential - whatever you have to let go of along the way.
Before you go into any healing situation, including meditation, it’s a good idea to sit quietly for a few moments and say to yourself that you are willing to let go of anything standing in your way no matter where that release may take you.
We often hold a much deeper intuition into where our healing actions will take us, than we know consciously. Opening up this space to heal, giving yourself permission to heal, is the first step to awakening the inner-you and seeing the fullest potential that you hold in life.
